Abstract
The goals for this chapter are to support you to:
Understand the importance of meeting the diverse needs of all students to ensure equity and inclusion in science education
Understand differentiated teaching practices and strategies to respond and cater to the needs of all students
Explain three instructional strategies for differentiation
Australian Professional Standards for Teachers—Graduate Level:
Standard 1: Know students and how they learn (Focus areas 1.1, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6)
Standard 4: Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments (Focus area: 4.1)
